Designed with Stacey Yip, Sherwin Ng, Jakkarin Sae-Tiew and Jeremy Png

Over the past decade, there has been an increase in the popularity of Low-cost Carriers (LCC) – airlines that prioritize cutting cost and maximizing efficiency.  However, with greater purchasing power, many passengers now consider much more than cheap flight tickets when choosing their airlines. In order to gain customer loyalty, airlines can afford to focus more on the comfort of passengers.

Privo aims to optimize inflight comfort for economy class passengers by endowing them with increased privacy and personal space  options within the crammed environment. The addition of customizable features enable passengers to personalize their flight experience in a way that best caters to their own needs.

Details

Privo focuses on the key pain points of economy class passengers: the lack of legroom space, privacy, and the one-size-fits-all design of current economy seats that cannot meet the diverse needs of all passengers. It empowers passengers with more control over their in-flight experience and comfort.

The newly implemented features in this design are customisable for the individual. It includes an adjustable head-arm-rest, improved seat reclining position,  additional  light fixture on the seat back as well as grooves on the table to prop an electronic device.
