I sought to capture the characteristic essence of people’s faces with the use of minimal colour and line weight. This personal project lasted approximately 2 weeks and involved designing for others under a conditional term.

Here, I specified that that once the illustration was done, it had to be set as their display picture on any one of their social media platforms (e.g. WhatsApp) for at least a day. Initially, I took the active step of requesting my friends to agree to the design and its term. However, once a good amount of people begun displaying the picture on WhatsApp, it was others who started requesting if I could get their pictures done.

I limited illustrations to 20 faces and stopped the project once the number was achieved (my own included).
